:luv: I think I'm falling in love :luv:

I thought I'd never see the day of me coming back to IE. But I think Microsoft has done a good job on this one.

Yes IE7 really is fantastic, I like it over Firefox in a few different areas.

My thoughts exactly, one thing I must pick at though is the fact when you click a link and it opens in a new window, I'd rather have it open a tab.

I also think maybe a few optimisations are needed in the downloading too. Seems to make IE lag quite a bit when downloading a webpage.

I think you can change that.

I only see an option for popups/links opened by programs.

Why a lock? We're not talking about anything illegal, this is purely for information purposes only, and if no files are provided to the public it's completely legal :p.

Goto Tools > Internet Options

Then click the settings button in the tabs section of the general tab

There is a section called "When a popup is encountered" - pick always open in a new tab.

That's what I use and I never get popups opening in a new window. Always in a new tab.

Ah, I see, it's not entirely obvious is it? I thought that was for actual popups only.

Hmm, that could be cause of XP 32 bit. I can assure you that IE7 on Vista RC2 X64 is blazing. I've tried all kinds of pages that weren't cached and almost everyone loaded instantely.

IE7 was looking a bit nice until Firefox 2 totally trumped it IMO. And firefox 2 will probably see the light of day before IE7 will.

I am using both IE7 RC1 and FF 2 RC 2. I really enjoy both and find they are actually fairly similar.

I used the original FF a while abck and simply didn't like it. I have IE7 now and I think it is much better. I will be using this for some time.

Well there are a ton of things in firefox that IE7 doesn't have, for example the spell checker which actually works well unlike previous spellchecker mods that have existed for both firefox and IE.

FireFox totally lags on this forum when you open multiple forums all at once.
