What performance do you get on your systems?
Personally I get ~15-30fps at 1280x1024 2xAA 8xAF + bloom + high settings with X2 3800+ (2.4Ghz), 2x1Gb RAM and 7900GS (565/1430Mhz).

You generally have to breach them in order to properly attack, unless you send a spy in beforehand who can open the main gates. They crumble with full physics, too.

So, yes, you can destroy them.

Good, I just hadn't seen any pics... Most of them are of pristine castles.

Runs about 40-60 fps on max detail on my system using 1680X1050 res. No AA or AF.

No SSE2 CPU means no demo for me. Apparently this will not be the case for the final version. I sure hope not, or it means no Total War for me until my upgrade early next year.

The demo kick ass!! cant wait for the final game.. there will be a second one
with a new historical battle very soon.

THere are many cool videos at gametrailers.. check this one

with cinematic style battle -action... althoutgh the graphics arent as good as modern FPS games, but still very impressive when you take into account that you can control thousands of soldiers in open land and zoom all the way to each single fight in the battle.
