If so, what driver do you use and how is the gameplay and overall stability/performance??? What os?
I've used both an 8500 and 9700p on my Epox 8RDA+ and have had 0 issues........ I used the 6218 and have used DX9 also with no issues..

Cool, things are looking up then.
Thanks
I've seen plenty of people at Rage3d using Asus NForce2 boards with the R9700Pro with no problems, I think it works fine

I have got the "older" nforce Abit board. I have not updated the drivers since xmas time for the nforce (not nforce2). It runs very stable. No issues.

The best thing for AMD and the ATI Radeon is the NF2 chipset. Nothing but smooth speed on my 8RDA+.

Like kurt454's brother, I'm running a 9700 Pro on an Epox 8RDA. I have had no problems with the combination. It's all good... :D

Has anyone here gotten the nforce2 to work properly with mandrake 9.0? Its based on the 2.4.19-16mdk kernel. Though i can use XFree86 with the vesa drivers, any time i try to run the ATI drivers i get the following error in dmesg:
agpgart: Unknown Bridge Resource
agpgart: No Support Devices found
agpgart: module not loaded
Does anyone have any idea what i can do? Im using a 8RDA+ m/b.

Nforce 2 and 9700 pro are a great team.
im running a nf7-s rev 1.2 and ati 9700 pro, and it flat out flies.Nvidias implamentation of the agp 3.0 (8x agp) is supposed to be far better than vias kt400,since nvidias still really a gfx company this makes sense.vias has always had trouble following excact specs

How exactly ransom, did you get the agp to function is what I would like to know? I would love to try them out under linux, but the nforce2 agp slot isnt supported by the agpgart module. How did you get the agp drivers for the nforce2?
