i'm curious, it's been forever sine i've seen posts about people overclocking a pentium 4, does anyone here still have a socket 478 pentium 4? i'm wondering what vcore you're running, i just cranked mine to 1.6v from 1.55v to get the 3.5ghz overclock i wanted, just want to see what else peopl have
My main PC is a P4 3.4E Prescott on a Asus P5LD2 Deluxe '775' motherboard running 3.7GHz. Vcore is at default 1.32V.

huh my 2.8 hits 3.5 no problem
I have always ran this P4 at 3.7, 24/7. With the memory I have it will run 230 FSB, 1:1, although the temps are higher than I like. But it is a P4 so even at 3.9GHz it's nothing special compared what's available now, it just makes for a solid dependable pc for general use.

Before I jumped to 4 sticks of memory I could get my 2.4C up to 3.0 at standard voltages. 3.2 with a voltage bump and extra cooling, but the noise wasn't worth it to me.

Hello I got a cedar Mill lga 775 3.4Ghz to 4.9Ghz just by going in the bios and changing it. Needed no extra cooling and worked fine. :S
My benchmarks shot up :D
I felt un easy though and clock down to 4.0Ghz
