I am selling my old system (internal componens, just CPU, Motherboard, RAM, and a 300Gb Hard drive to a friend so he can build a system.

I am going to upgrade to a e6400 and need suggestions on a motherboard and RAM that will work well and will be compatible. I would go with the e6600 but i will be fine with the e6400. Money is an issue also.

If you guys could just post some Motherboard/RAm combo's that would work well that would be great.

I will be keeping all my old stuff (Video card, etc) and I am just upgrading the CPU, Motherboard and RAM right now.

Thanks, in advance, for your guys help

Good choice for CPU:)
Since i Just got a P5B Deluxe Wi-Fi Edition i can say that's a good choice along with Some quality Corsair DDR2.

Good luck on the Build

Not a build yet, nor sure when it will happen. The kid might back out now so I might be screwed...

If you want build pics I'll post some in the near future. I am currently redesigning my room and I got the new Antec Nine Hundred case and its pretty sweet. :) Ill post pics up some time.

I really like the DS4 motherboard - it's got a lot of nice stuff the DS3 doesn't, but as you're in the US, that's not an option. The DQ6 should be pretty nice, but I think for that money you'd be better off with the P5B-Deluxe (I believe it's just a little more feature rich).

Here is the stuff I have picked out so far for my upgrade:

ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium/WiFi-AP (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131071&Local=y)

Core 2 Duo E6600 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819115003)

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

What do you guys think? Will the ram work well with the motherboard?

Why not wait till NF 680?

I'm getting ready to go Conroe too. I was about to buy the Abit 975 board, as it supports both SLI and Crossfire, it has only one PCI slot which is blocked when using SLI :(

So waiting for 680 now.

nekrosoft13! I should have known :p

nVidia Dual Graphics. At first I thought they meant 7950GX2 BUT the motherboard ships with a SLI bridge, you still need the modded drivers (for now), but it's nice abit are listening to the enthusiast and including the sli bridge anyway.

After reading slaWter's post though, I'm waiting for NF 680 :)
