Enough About MikeC

Ok. Where to start.

I have been trying to hang around here more lately like the good old days and I am noticing a growing trend that has really started to annoy me.

I swear that every second bloody day there is a new thread started by a different person complaining about something MikeC did or didn't do.

Guys, you have to realize that Mike has to make countless decisions on a daily basis about what is best for the site, as well as monitoring the forums and babysitting all the users that SHOULDN'T need babysitting. We all have our opinions about everything, and some people choose to express them in a less than mature way.

I am tired of listening to 'Mike deleted my post' 'Mike deleted my thread'.

He has the final say in what is or isn't appropriate to post here, and although some of you may not like it, he CAN delete whatever he wants to keep the forums within the boundaries that he set. His site, his rules.
If you post your opinion in a MATURE WAY, then it won't go anywhere. If you complain, flame, and whine, then don't act surprised when it gets deleted.

Seriously people, we are all here in a volunteer basis. If you don't like it, there's the door.

If you feel your post was mature and was STILL deleted, then ask Mike in a PM why. He does make mistakes. Don't start a bitch thread about it. That will only serve to get both you and Mike pissed off.

I have been involved with this site and Envy News for a long time now, and I have an idea how much work maintaining a site is. I can imagine that the LAST thing Mike wants to do at the end of the day is have to clean threads in the forum. In other words, mistakes do happen, such as some posts being deleted that shouldn't be. It happens when you are tired and pissed off, heh. Trust me. ;)

Lemme make sure I get this right, you started a thread about threads complaining about MikeC to try and reduce the number of threads complaining about MikeC since MikeC has too many threads he has to go thru?

I really ain't here to just irritate people, I enjoy the discussions that go on. If I'm gonna stay here, I think it's fair to agree to play by their rules. :)

I am just trying to put it in perspective for everyone, thats all. I wasn't pointing fingers at any one person in perticular. ;)

I would like to publically apologize for my actions. The comments I directed at Peter were uncalled for and were totally out of line. I also want to apologize for trying to stir up contention here. It is something I truly regret and feel sorry for. MikeC, I direct this apology mainly at you. You have provided us a great space of our own to discuss and further develop our interest in computer hardware and the happenings of the tech world, as well as a place to communicate with each other and develop friendships with people we otherwise would not have come in contact with. You have allowed this to us free of charge, and you have and continue to put much effort in maintaining what you have provided. I thank you, and once again, I apologize for my actions. nV News is still among the top sites of the net and has, in my opinion, one of the(if not THE) best online communities around ;) Lets drop all this nonsense and get back to the way we used to be. We are all friends here, lets keep this place great:D

man that thought popped into mind tonight when I read Ben's goodbye post. reminded me of pelly's

nothing against ben in particular (or anyone else), but throwing any personal b.s. into the mix of a fairwell post sounds childish.

kinda like "mike wont play by my rules so Im taking my marbles over so and so's house".

If your leaving, leave. but do so with complete dignity, no need to drudge up old ****.

I dont want to come across as a MC ass kisser, I just feel the guy deserves way more thanks than he usually gets.
