Won't install on my NVIDIA nForce4 Serial ATA Controller (AMD). And yes, I'm trying manual install. It just shows 5series controllers.

because they most likelly disabled it in the inf file.

Is there a way to enable it?
Is the controller different for Intel boards? Is it possible that these are only for the Intel variant?

These are for Intel. The AMD page still shows 9.35.

Are you just overriding the drivers you had installed or are you doing a fresh install?

So if i look very good i see that even the nforce 2 is supported ... ;)

I am going to try them. If my machine explodes or fails I will be coming after someone. Probably the messenger they always deserve to get it!:D

Okay, I tried to manually update drivers, but not real sure what all I need to click on, but did do Ethernet (which worked) and RAID (not sure if it worked), but I also went ahead and ran the setup.exe anyways, which looks like it installed 3 drivers, but anywho...

Here's my Ethernet before;

Here's my Ethernet after;

Probably all within "margin" but my internet is flying now! Pages definitely load faster, no doubt. Firefox 2.0 FTW!

They should be fine, considering they are for Intel boards originally. Works fine on my AMD board, so you should be OK.

IDE driver v5.10.2600.691 dated 09/21/2006 for NF2 ONLY is available at my directory:

Internet Explorer users only:

http://advmoddev.farvista.net/NVide691xp.zip (Right Click, Save Target As...)

All other browsers will need to go to the directory and get it from there:

http://advmoddev.farvista.net/

As far as NF2 users are concerned, the only driver that will install will be SMBUS (v4.57 has been released already for some time now anyway). The IDE is missing critical files like usual and the ETHERNET is not a PreNRM driver suitable for NF2 machines.

those that can't install in nforce4 open nvata.inf

and add this

%CK804SSS%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0054&CC_0101

these entries are present in inf, just removed from detection

Sweet! Nvidia says they haven't test them on nforce 4 yet but claim they should work ok.

of course they work

What does this do? It seemed to install just fine for me, but I'm curious about your settings. Oh, when it installed for me, it just gave me 3 options, SMBus, RAID (I think) and Ethernet.

Just because you ran the installation doesn't mean that the drivers installed. Check your versions/dates and see if they were actually updated.

that only adds the missing entries in inf to install sata driver on nforce4

and ethernet driver will work fine, you just have to uninstall your old driver first
