I currently run Slackware on a old system and have gotten to the point where I want to run it on my main system. The only thing stopping me is the fact that the newer system has a Personal Cinema using the Geforce2 MX 400 card (64MB, Twin-View, TVTuner), (it comes bundled with WinDVD&WinDVR).
I'm sure I'll be able to get through installing the 3d drivers without to much of a headache, but the PCinema also requires the installation of the WDM drivers (which I know mean Windows Drivers Model).
-My question is how/will I be able to retain the capture functionality?
-What software would be available to replace the WinDVD & WinDVR bundle, if any?
I realize the 'supported platforms' only list windows variants, but I'm really hoping there is a way for this to work under Linux.
