Great, just freaking great. Apparently my MSI X1900XTX just died. No monitor signal at all. Just booted up the computer, went to the desktop and bam, no monitor signal and computer shuts off. Took it out, tried all sorts of different things and nothing. No signal whatsoever. The wierd thing is that my motherboard, abit AW8-MAX shows everything boot up fine in the boot sequence, no error codes, it displays "FF" for fully functional. This is ridiculous, this card isn't even four months old. I just contacted MSI technical support and as usual they don't listen and give you obvious suggestions that I have already tried a billion times. So I hope they take RMA, here is to a couple of weeks with no video card at best:thumbdwn:
Looks like I will be making the switch back to nVIDIA as soon as I can. Crap, I just started a new job and have no money for another month until I get paid. Just what I needed:rw:
That just sucks, sorry to hear it man. I'm guessing you tried all the usual..i.e. another card, different psu connector etc?

yup, tried it all. Just waiting for a reply from MSI tech support so I can see what options I have. BTW, eagle pass still sucks:p
I don't want to call them on the phone because those techs are so dumb that they always get me mad:lol: This is gonna take forever thru e-mails tho.

well, I got the RMA number, I guess I will send the card tomorrow. I hope they get me a replacement or a fix ASAP. Its kinda sad just seeing my rig sitting there...alone... naked...gutless...:lol:

I was just about to ask you to consider joining one of the CS:S teams I am playing on as well. How's that for timing :(

At least they're giving you the rma, hope it gets there soon man. Best of luck with it.

nope, completely stock. Good thing too hehe... I was thinking about replacing the leaf blower errr... cooler on it with something better looking:lol:
I got it from NewEgg, but I figure that going directly to the manufacturer would be faster(omg)
In that case it really sucks .. esp all the time you have to wait for a replacement :(

I just gave away my old rig that I had before my 2 year nvnews exodus to a friend in california:lol:
That one had a Ti 4600 in it, maybe its karma:p
wonder if I can ask for a step up, even if it costs me some who knows, I can get a GX2 or a 1950 XTX maybe hehe..

Ask for a step up to G80 if you can :D .. other than that its really not worth it.

this just hasn't been my day...

I've heard some good and bad things about MSI customer service, I really hope it doesn't take a month for me to get my card. I just hope I can send this thing off to them tomorrow hehe.
