Building a budget rig and need some input.

MOBO: Asrock 775Dual vsta.
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813157092

It's 56.00 bucks
My hangup is on the CPU.

Would I get better performance grabbing a Pentium D805 and ocing it for 95 bucks or would the core 2 duo E6300 OCed have more performance for the $?
The E6300 is 184 bucks.

The asrock should get around 3.3Ghz+ out of the 805.
The E6300's are getting 2.2 to 2.4Ghz if your lucky on the Asrock.

Anyone here with these combos?

I think the MOBO with a PD 805 at 3.4 for 155 bucks is the best deal.
The core 2 and board will run me around 250.

By the way the lowest price for the 165 Opteron from decent rated retailer is
$163.00

I'm giving my twin boys this Opteron 165 rig.
I cannot keep them off my PC so it's time
they get there own. :p

I need as much HP as I can get for as little money
as I can get by with. Christmas is coming up fast and I've
got 2 kids, wife and dog to buy for. :)

I think I'll spend the extra and get the 183 buck Core 2.
Throw in the Osrock board for 56 bucks. 239 bucks total for my new rig.
I've got a 6800ultra, PS and a gig of ram I can use. :)
I will not be happy if I don't go with a Core2. :D:captnkill:

I'm holding off till the DX10 cards come out before I buy
a new VC. The 6800u will do fine till then. :)
