Can you rebuilt a Thunderbird account without losing the inbox?

I rebuild corrupted accounts in outlook everyday with no loss of email in the inbox, but I just rebuilt one in thunderbird and now all email in the inbox is gone. Can you rebuilt the account without losing the email?

Last 2 times I lost all as well, so I'm back to outlook ftm. I'm sure someone intheir forums could help, I just lost interest in it.

I'm not sure what you mean by rebuilding. If you mean moving it, look at mozbackup.

Yeah removing it and recreating it.
