It seems like firefox, will be here on the 24th of October to compete with IE7.
I have recently started to like IE a whole lot though :captnkill:

Same here, I really enjoy IE7. I won't be switching now.

have you ever used OPera ?

I really doubt IE7 its half as good as Opera 9.. and not impressed with firefox that i use at work. perhaps its only me.. but its powerfull bookmarks search options/highly customizable interface /TAbs /internet speed ,and its hudreds of very nice looking themes sold me long time ago.

I'm using Firefox 2 RC3 and I've had no problem at all with it.

I've been using FF2 as well and no problems. But I'm really enjoying ie7. Pretty much all I've used since it's release.

If I install FF2 RC3 or whatever, when the final version comes out, can I just upgrade from that, or will I have to uninstall/reinstall?

You can upgrade and it will save your bookmarks, settings etc.

Used Opera, and it's ugly, sorry to say.

I could care less about my browser's looks. What I care about is security, stability, and performance. And Opera is the best, hands down.

It's so stable, my current webpages are saved even if the power goes out (and no, I don't use a UPS). Try something like that with Firefox or IE7..

Is there a way to disable the need to click on flash before you can use it? Kinda annoying to have to double click my way through sites like Homestarruner.com.

Probably some security option. Have you tried adding the site to your trusted zone? (If you trust it of course..)

Trusted zone has Medium security rather than Medium-high of the Internet zone. Maybe Medium security will let you use flash without clicking on it first?

Nope no dice there. I will google some more. Someone is bound to find a way to disable it now the final is out.

EDIT: Would appear there is nothing us end users can do?

Oh yeah, now I remember reading about it. Guess we're SOL on that one..

Tabmix Plus for FF saves all current session data. So crashes or power outages are not an issue. You can even close the browser and continue where you left off. Now I guess all you need to do is try something like that with IE, as FF has it covered.
