I have just got a program that needs to run under DOS but I am running Win2K. When I installed the OS I used NTFS but in order to run the software I need to use a boot disk (win98). After booting using the boot disk the C:\ drive is not usable, as Win98 cannot use NTFS.

The program is CSM RC Flight sim.

Any help would be Greatly Appreciated.

I have this flight sim myself, although I kept a full Windows 98 drive for legacy apps like this one. :D

You can use the bundled partition manager in Windows 2000 (Administrative Tools -> Computer Management), which will allow you to perfom simple partitionning tasks like creating/destroying partitions. If you need to RESIZE an NTFS partition in order to free some space, then Parition Magic 8 is your way to go.

I emailed CSM tech support & they told me copy the program to a boot disk and run it from that (minus the INFO folder). It is now working but loading time is high. I think I will buy a second hard drive and run it from there, or try PM 8 like u suggested.

Thank for replying Ryo-Ohki.

Oh and do you have a R/C Heli

No, just a plane and a worn out glider which kissed mother Earth a tad too often. A tree too, once. :D

Lol,
A friend of mine had a plain but he took it out when it was too windy. The plain went up up and away never to be seen again. My first heli is on order and should be with me in 2 weeks. Hopefully I will have more look.

i hate to see you have to buy another piece of software, but the easiest way to do this is to use Partition Magic. You can modify, add, delete, resize, or convert partitions on the fly.
