Grab them while they are still hot!:captnkill:

The price has gone up $30. This is no coincidence.;) I got 2 for $249 each just 2 days ago. I have a feeling these cards are soon to go BYE BYE and never return. But hey what do I know they could still get more shipments.:D

Umm, wtf? So you buy a GX2, sell it a while later, buy two 7950GT's, ditch them one month later, and then buy two 7900GTO's?

Am I missing something here?

Are you measuring the performance difference with a sundial?

He's got money to drain?

I think that's the understatement of the century.

And with G80 just around the corner?

I think that's the understatement of the century.

And with G80 just around the corner?

Now lets just say for some odd reason that EVGA decides not to do step-up right away on G80 due to the high demand. Well in that case my new 90 day step-up takes me to January right in time for Vista and a better chance at step-up. I actually am not spending like crazy just recycling.

Good ol smarty pants (crazy) people on ebay buy my cards for $249 each the same I paid for the 7900 GTO's (GTX'S with my overclock). So I work the system and get a better card for longer.

Meanwhile G80 prices drop.(nana2)

It may work. It might not. O well....what can I say I have a serious Video Card Fetish.:captnkill:

Who knows though if Step-Up is available at G80 release I just might be first in line.:p

$249 is what I call an awesome price for a GTX card.

And he couldn't overclock his 7950GT's?

Oh well, not trying to piss in the punch bowl or anything.. just having a hard time understanding this move. I mean, why not just order a G80 and then sell the cards on ebay when it comes out instead of worrying about this "step-up" program? That way you won't have to wait until January--if there does happen to be a delay. From the way you talk you can get all the money you paid out of them anyway? (or close to it)

because the core is clocked at 650 stock versus 550 and the stock cooler is HIGHLY effective and extremely quiet? Also your essentially buying a 7900GTX.

My GTO has been running great for a while now at GTX speeds!!! I got it for $259. The price went down but is going up as demand for these cards increases while the supply dries up. The cards are worth GTX prices since the GTO is the same as the GTX except for the memory speed which can be easily overclocked if you have th right BIOS.
