I am like the last human being without cable so forgive me. I heard it was short but was it good? Damn T.V stations cant show any footage from the fight.

The Tyson fight came on tonight and couldn't even watch it. My only real t.v enjoyment is the Simpsons, Alias, 24 and C.S.I. and news(yes news). Dont get me wrong I have watched cable but I have never seen a episode of The Sophranoes, OZ, Real Autopsy's and alot of other shows which they say are great. I already have about $800 in bills every month but I am thinking of letting my DSL go as much as I love and getting Cable T.V. Is cable or DTV really worth that extra 50 a month I am thinking about spending for it?

Tyson is an idiot, he should be training and having non fixed matches if he wants to take on Lewis:rolleyes:

I never liked Tyson but I would have loved to see Tyson fight Lewis in his prime. Tyson would have killed him. Alas we will never know.

Perhaps, but stick them together both at their prime and my money would be on Lewis:cool:

No surprise this so-called "fight" was a joke. Maybe Tyson should have fought Tonya Harding. :bleh:

So the handpicked creampuff with a weak chin stayed down and collected his $. *pat pat* Good boy. http://www.pcabusers.net/forums/images/smilies/rude.gif

As for Tyson, only reason folks still look is to see how bad the trainwreck of his life will get.

Tyson has had so many chances its ridiculous. He's going to go back into jail eventually. Hell, he should have been there long ago. And its an understatement Tyson has issues beyond belief. People who have been around him for a length of time say Tyson can be gentle and compassionate one instance and a terrifying beast the next.

This is also plain sad. All those who really cared about Tyson and gotten him help, stopped being there long ago.

Tyson is wayyy past his prime. Any time in the last 10 years he fought a decent fighter, he lost.

As long as there's still moola to be made, the hanger ons who don't give a crap about Tyson keep putting him out there. The rematch with Lewis that's talked about is another payday to get his a$$ kicked.

I remember the build up to the Lewis Tyson fight before, the promoters were talking about how badly Lewis will be whipped. Tyson gets anihilated and they start saying, oh well he wasnt ready!!

In that Tyson vs Lewis fight I seriously think it was fixed or Tyson was on crack his just performance was just too "crack-ish". He seemed like he was tired from the first round and didnt even attempt to throw any serious punches at Lewis who for once didnt make me fall asleep because of shear boredom, you would think he was fighting his mother, Tony Harding could have knocked him out that night.

Oh NO! You are not serious are you? Look at Tyson's record before jail and the quality of fighters he beat and resoundingly. Come on I know you are speaking on a fellow countrymen's pride but Tyson was a killer. Back in Lewis' prime he fought washed up fighters. I am no way saying Lewis isn't an awesome fighter cuz he is but he just happened to be great in a time of so so fighter. Don't even bring up Holyfield. He was at the end of his prime and Holyfield was never a true heavy weight. He came up as a light heavy weight and was always the lightest heavy weight. As far as fellow contrymen pride in Tyson.... I have none he is a fool who should be put in a zoo.

No way Lewis would beat Tyson at his prime. NO WAY! :D ;)

Tyson lost because he came up against a better fighter. He was tired because he didn't take the fight serious. He didn't take boxing serious. Sure he wanted to win but he didn't want to work for it like he used to do. Lewis took Tyson serious and whipped him as he should have done. Tyson never used to talk up a huge storm he just whent in and dismantled his oponent. Tyson is washed up. That is it plain and simple. He lost all his will to be a contender when he whent to jail. He only fights now because that is all he know and he also needs hte money. He is a joke. :p

I still think he could :p they are two different fighters, Tyson is a brawler not a boxer. Lewis actually boxes which is why most people find him "boring" they just want a good brawl and biting contest;) :D

Its a shame we dont have a time machine because it would have been a great match anyway:cool:

puhhh, tyson is not a boxer, he is a showman (a brainless one too).

Tyson in his prime, was a pussy compared to Evander Hollyfield. Evander is far better, he lets his fists do the talking, unlike brainless Mike. Lewis is ok, but he does not have that essence/flare which Evander had while fighting.

Another great boxer has to be Kosta Tsyu. I would pay to watch Kosta fight or Evander fight, but there is no way i am watching Mike Thigh son fight. I rather watch WWF or whatever the hell it is called now.

Hey I never said Tyson was unbeatable I said he would beat Lewis and it is a great example what happens when you do not train properly for a fight. That was also the time of the rape charges. Though I am not sure that played any part of his loss but he sure as heck didn't take Douglas serious. Like I said he should be in a zoo but I guess the ropes around the ring will suffice as bars in the mean time. ;)

Boxing definitley sucks. There hasnt been any real contenders or great fights in the longest time. It just makes me angry to watch. Besides the heavyweight fights only last about 1 round now-a-days. Its all about hitting the canvas in the first and getting paid.

That isn't quite true. There are plenty of great fights they just are not in the heavy weights. The middle weights are where it's at baby. The best fights and fithters are there.

Only middleweight I enjoyed was Roy Jones. But he has no competition.

No I said the middle weights, meaning 130lb up to light heavy weights.

BTW what do you think of Roy Jones Jr. fighting a heavy weight Ruiz? Even if he wins it could be a big price to pay on his body. Giving up 35 or so pounds can take a lot on a persons body.

I rather watch WWF or whatever the hell it is called now. Tyson from 86-89 would have killed Evander...after that Tyson's demons started eating away at his ability. Evander could box, and turned out to be a much better heavy than I ever figured a former cruiserweight would be, but Tyson at his peak was unbeatable...the only fights that weren't knockouts were decisive decision victories where his opponents only defense was 12 rounds of constant clinching. I think love the call from his bout with Micheal Spinks after knocking him down..."and that is the first time Micheal Spinks has even been down in a professional fight..." he takes the standing 8 and Tyson comes at him and throws 2 punches "and he's down again and in serious trouble!". Most tyson fights were over before the 5th round.

The most furious fight I ever saw was Haggler/Hearns...that was 8 minutes of ferocity that I've never seen duplicated. Haggler/Leonard was a good one...Leonard/Hearns was good...man I love the smaller guys. I don't think any Heavyweight fight in the past 15 years could touch those ones.
