I think I'm actually more impressed by the CPU score.

That's what overclocking a Core 2 Duo to 3.7GHz will get you. (nana2)

Yup, and an Intel quad core does even better (nana2)

No link to a forums/website

No info on where the pics are from

The user just registered today and these are the only two posts he made...

:p.

LOL i dont mean to bash anyone but can you give a little more background info on the pics ?

Two times the goodness :captnkill:

The benchmarks above are with X6800.

The CPU mark in 3Dmark06 seems to be a Quad core CPU.

NM. If it is quad core. No way that's a regular 4mb C2D below 3.8 GHz. Here's a C2D @ 4.9 GHz in 06:

What kinda 3dmark06 scores will this card get with the AMD X2 cpus?

There is one bench around here that compares a FX-62 with Dual and Quad C2D, but I can't find it right now, though its in one of these threads...

That's right what I'm looking for. 12,300 sitting at 3.8g on the Conroe on a single GTX.

Hells yeah. That's a little more than a 50% increase from my GX2 paired with my X2. I can live with that.

Those results posted by the OP are from VictorWang's card, the guy that we had pictures on the "G80 is selling" thread
You can find pictures in here http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=120598&page=6

There is also another poster at Xtremesystems with a G80, claiming 20000 3DM05 with a C2D 3800 conroe. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=120598&page=7

All what matters to me right now is the GPU score & its darn impressive indeed!

Looks good. :)

These are the results from my recent run of 3dmark 2006 with an overclocked 7950 GX2 and an X2@2.5Ghz:

3DMark Score 8092 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 3700 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 3733 Marks
CPU Score 1870 Marks

Its around 23% faster than my GX2. If it sells for $500, itl be a bargain. :)

BTW, that CPU score of theirs is freaking insane... thats mind bogglingly high...

There are still manny "unknowns". The performance in DX10 shuld be MANNY times better then the GX2. Also what performance gains will this new Quantum physics chip give? :)

The Quantum Effects Physics Processor should give you any extra performance at all. It should give you some significantly increased physics effects, but that will come at a performance penalty.

Iīm not exactly sure about how physics will function on the G80. Some say its a seperate chip connected to a 128-bit memory bus and others said the unified shaders (aka stream processors, all 128) are capable of physics acceleration/calculation. They are set up in 6 arrays (or 5 on the GTS) each has its own 64-bit memory bus. When you upgrade to a G81 or G90 or whatever you can keep the G80 as a full scale PPU.

I definitly canīt wait for launch day and finally see what the architecture is all about. :)

Errrrrr.. what's the "520 memory" speed all about on that Core 2 Xtreme there? Shouldn't that read at least "900?? (the default memory speed of the GTX?)

Just a guess but maybe the ATItool doesnīt report the memory clock correctly. Since the G80 is really new it would not surprise me.

Where do you get "23 %" from? I see more than that.

Your GX2-------------------->8800GTX

3DMark Score 8092 3DMarks / 12371, increase of 52.8 %
SM 2.0 Score 3700 Marks---/ 4818, increase of 30.2 %
SM 3.0 Score 3733 Marks---/ 4903, increase of 23.8 %

If you're talking only about SM3, then I agree with you.
