Been hitting the forums lately trying to make up my mind about a new video card. I've narrowed it down a bit and wanted your opinions.

first card
Evga 7950gt 512mb 259.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130061

second card
SAPPHIRE Radeon X1900XT 256MB 219.00 (oem, has standard return policy)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102051R

third card (the low cost option)
SAPPHIRE Radeon X1950PRO 199.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102061

so which to choose? I'm leaning towards the 7950gt since its more future proof (512mb, step up program etc) although if I find a $250 GTO I will just get that and forget the rest.

Yeah, I like your option one also for the 512 and step-up possibility. But, like the other post mentions, if you don't mind used you'll probably finds lots of 79xx cards for sale here once the G80 hits (in about 2 weeks supposedly).

I'm tempted to just buy it from tikiman, I don't doubt his being a honest seller, but I'm always weary of buying something from a person instead of a business. There is just more safety with regards to getting a replacement if something goes awry or at the very least getting my money back (ie Credit card Protection).
