I have no volume at work but apparently the doll is saying mama?
Someone on YouTube wrote this....which makes sense.
Its a creepy ad. What I took from this commercial is that, Sony PS3 is the "Mother of all Consoles" That is why the baby is calling it "MaMa"
The baby represents, the "Next Gen gaming" that is why you see the new games in his eyes and all that other ****.
You put them together, Sony is giving birth to true Next Gen gaming.
People on the YouTube link make it seem as if that commercial was that hard to comprehend.
-hold that
I'd still flip the channel if I saw this, lol.
yeah it IS pretty awful..

This makes all the 360 adds look really, REEEALLY good haha :D
This add = almost as bad as the tag 'This is Living' in the funky writing.

LOL sony pwnt themselves
Hmm...in about three weeks ninty fans are going to grab their wii's and start waving them around (I don't know about anybody else but I still think that is an incredibly gay name.) I bet the thunder of the PS3 is just going to flop before it even starts shipping. I really think sony is f*cked. Better start planning for a cheaper console and name it the PS4, and have it come out in about 2010.
I liked it and these are much better.

LOL Go Go Marketing!
You gotta like how they only twist the facts, when they compared the HD Resolution they mentioned SD TV, not current HD and when they compared the processing power, they mentioned the PS2... not another console.

How is that twisting faqs and so what if they compare it to there own product? Its not a Geico commercial where they have to ring in the competition.
I don't know about dolls but surely next gen consoles have made my wallet cry
there calling the cell engine a "broadband" engine?...WTF!! thats even more stupid then when intel claimed that netburst can make the internet go faster.....how stupid do these people think we are!!...

I'm actually impressed with a lot of the in-game footage shown on the PS3, but I am dissappointed in the lack of accuracy in the ads. A single core processor in an average computer can do multiple tasks simultaneously. If what they claimed in their ad was true, PC Games would not be what they are today.
As of right now, in nearly every PC Game the AI, Sound, Physics, and other non-video oriented tasks of a game are all done on the processor. And single core processors are handling it just fine. The intro of the dual core processor only makes it even better.
Way to lie Sony.
Geez that was one weird ad! :retard:

I believe its due to the CELL being specialized for multimedia capablities. It has the bandwidth and number crunching power, their not claiming it will make your broadband connection go quicker...

Uhh, I got that the baby will be playing a Sony game console day and night because the parents don't want to actually pay attention to their child so that the child will think its parent is the Sony game console.
Either way that commercial made me want to buy a Atari 2600. Combat sounds good right now.

I do think the other ads were better, but off.
Sony needs to hit the 360 head on, because MS is sure hitting them straight on. Sony's biggest problem this year is Gears of War too.

I don't think Gears of War is that much of an issue with Final Fantasy XII launching today... Im willing to bet its sales are far more then Gears of War... Remember MS might have Sony by the balls in the next generation but Sony still has alot going for them with the PS2. Its pure profits coming in from its sales now... and they need that... badly.

Scary Ad , but original :D go Sony.
I just saw the commercial .... and, i like it :D
It is a weird ad, indeed... but it reminds me of a couple of 'ingredients' ;
- space oddysee 2001's monolith scene
- Chucky 'Wanna play ?'
- the strange stuff from the Silent Hill games (which are still very strongly associated with the Playstation brand)
It could also be 'read' as a diss to the competition ; both Wii & XB360 with their clinical clean white & chrome style.... 'saying' they are plastic artificial toys like
the plastic doll ; they see the PS3 and that makes them (Wii & XB360) cry.
It's probably my off taste but i like the ad :super:
