LOL @
In another (very similar) interview he said that if the game does not come out by March, he will give his car away to the fans. For the record, he drives a Subaru.

In reply to the Anton Bolshakov interview.

Well I'll still give it a shot when it finally arrives. The features still sound intriguing and the upgraded renderer sounds lovely. I wish them luck and hope it at least halfway lives up to my expectations.

WHAT!! no driving! man that's really disappointing :( Starting with a knife is also lame, what kind of stalker goes into the zone with only a knife :/

I think this game is going to give me the creeps. I will still have to play it though.

Wow that trailer is awesome!

I hope the animation and voice acting are somewhat similar to what was in that video... that was top quality stuff.

A lot of it looked like actual video footage with a 3d character laid over it though.

Do you think the game could actually look like that?

I'm re-hyped about this now.

I wasn't expecting much from characters\story in this game, but it looks like it'll have some surprises in that area. :)

Hey Capt, the trailer is pre-rendered, that fact is established in the interview.
The game itself is still using the same core dx 8.1 engine with dx 9.0 effects tacked on. I'm not holding my breath for a game that has up to date visuals.

The draw for me is the hype of a truly dynamic/un-scripted world which never plays out the same way twice. If they can pull that off, it will bust the fps genre wide open.

I've been looking forward to this since 2003. While it might still be cool, it is rather a shame that it is based on older technology. On the other hand, it should run with good frame rates as a result. I still plan on getting it because it does have potential.
