I highly doubt this is true.... everyone thought the stepup was not possible with the 7950GX2 when it was released. It took them a few days after it was released, but it was added to the stepup. EVGA is a solid company and will honor the step up. I'd bet anything they will.

wow if this is true then this is pretty disgraceful. I bet a lot of people bought GX2s thinking they could just step up in two months.

I really SERIOUSLY doubt its true. EVGA knows that a good 30% of all their video card sales are due to the stepup program. Pissing off an enthusiast community is the LAST thing they want to do.

$50 bucks says the G80 will be available for stepup within the first week of release. Anyone care to place a wager? :p

I hope you're right. But if the do pull this then I'll probably go to BFG instead of eVGA for my G80. I'd defiantly like to with eVGA (because we've got jackup here who works for them), but if they pull something like this then I really don't trust them.

Hey guys,

EVGA can not talk about unannounced products or programs related to these products before a product is officially launched. EVGA has always stood behind the step-up program and will always support this program. Please remember that products at launch are always in limited quantity and on a first come first serve basis.

Thanks!

wink wink :p

So basically, they cant say anything about it because the card hasnt been officially announced yet.

I'm sure itl be included in the step up.

The step up program would be pointless if it wasnt.
