How hard is it compared to a desktop, and where would I find the parts? What sites online would have parts?

it's prolly easier than building a desktop, first you have to buy a shell, you know, the monitor/case/keyboard/mobo/integrated video. after that you select the processor, then memory and harddrive. Finally ending in the drives that you want. the hardest things to find are the shells, and i believe asus makes them. someone was supposed to put up a guide on how he built his own, but looks like he never got around to it

Ya I remember that guide toit being a stickly a while bak but it never got finished. If I actually do my build I'll make a guide.

As far as finding other parts besides he shell, newegg or soemthing?

yea, newegg or zzf both carry laptop drives/memory, or just use pricegrabber when you find a part that you want cheaper :)
