Yep! first UE3 powered game we get to try!!
RoboBlitz is a fast-paced action game featuring puzzle-solving and unique physics-based weapons. Players blast through 15+ levels of high-intensity action as Blitz, a multi-talented robot on a mission to save its factory from a band of invading mechanical brains. This demo allows you to try 3 levels, but includes the full content of the game, so if you want to continue to play, you need to buy a license key.

EDIT: Aug 24, 2005 is the date listed at 3dgamers for the demo...

Edit 2: I'm a dumbass. I see this is the NEW general demo. ;)

I can't even install the damn demo because it gives me an ATI driver error and asks me to download the latest one. To the recycle bin it goes. :thumbdwn:

Not worth taking a screen shot. The particle effects for the spinning move is OK and the Depth of Field effect is pretty good. Other than that, nothing impressive.

Gameplay is clunky but kinda fun.

Do you get the error with the 6.10 drivers ?

Yea, some message about my drivers not being up to date. I'm using Omega Drivers 6.7 and I don't intend on updating it unless I have a problem with a game I own. I guess I'll just wait for the xbox 360 demo.

Only thing remotely interesting is some of the tech its based on,besides the engine it uses... The game utilizes this tech....

Its not al its cracked up to be,as it cant be used for allot of ingame textures in alot of games I can think of,this would be great in a game like FEAR though, with all those blank plain looking walls.

thanks a lot SH64!! Installed it and the graphics amazed me!! i didnt play it for a very long time because tbh the game blows, but the lighting is definitely light years ahead of the doom 3 engine, and i was getting a steady 60-70 FPS amazingly. I wouldnt say its the best graphics ive ever seen on a PC, but it was certainly enough to convince me that a) Unreal 3 games are going to kick ass and b) this engine is just as efficient as the previous iterations - both great news for pc gamers. i look forward to las vegas :)

Yep , "technically" the graphics are interesting to say the least (lighting , procedural textures , dynamic shadows ..) .. too bad regular gamers dont care about that though & thus not much people will be paying attention to this game :|

i'll be having this game demo as an initial benchmark point for UE3 based games!
i used the same SLI profile used for UT2007 with it & it seems to be working on my Quad system , but i'm getting wierd slowdowns that require me to alt-tab to get performance at its normal level. hmmm
AA is not working aswell due to the post-processing effects/HDR. i wonder if the G80 will overcome this limitation ?

Interesting interview
could ProFX be the future esp with all these ridiculously large-sized textures in new & next gen games ? .. we should keep an eye on that.

SH64, regarding that "alt tab bug", I have that in a few games actually. Far Cry, NWN2, and a couple others. its very strange indeed. I will start up Far Cry and it will play great, restart it from desktop and its running at half speed(nothing changed!), until I alt tab. I think, as strange as this sounds, the SLI profile isnt always read or something, because I did some testing and found that until I alt tabbed I wasnt getting the SLI benefit. Yet another reason I doubt I will get another SLI rig anytime soon...

Yeah that seems to be a SLI issue that is growing as new games come around .. could be SLI profile related & could be driver related & maybe its something else heh :|

Anti Aliasing doesn't work, it doesn't matter what Vidcard you have. It's because the lighting system used doesn't support it, kinda like GRAW, not because of the HDR or post proccesing effects.

I already went trough the game, It's really good, a bit short tough. Loved the UE3 btw, can't wait till some "real" games come out powered by it.
