The Japanese national pride and support of their corporations is admirable. I wish Americans were the same.

I agree. I've said this many times before in the past. I wonder where this country would be if we supported American companies like the Japanese support theirs.

With the amount of PS3's Japan's getting at launch, they'll be 6 in that shop.

Worshiping corporations won't help our economy if thats what your implying. I think its good to have high standards when it comes to the quality of products (not speaking about anything specifically).

Americans already do, they just fail to realise how much. Infact, I would say support of their own is far greater than that in Japan.

Supporting American companies does not entail worshopping corporations. As Americans we have the freedom of choice. All I was saying is that national pride and choosing to support American companies by purchasing American made products would improve not only the economy but the feeling of self worth that many Americans lack. Importing and outsourcing has had an economical and emotional impact on many people in this country.

Wow, those lines are actually insane. Luckily I live in a relatively small (1 million population) canuck town where people are more interested in other stuff than PS3. For example, me and 2 buddies camped out for 360 launch at Future Shop, there was like 5 other people there I think (they had like 15-20 360s I think). And judging from my experience, the Xbox is much more popular around here. People have PS2s and I know the facts say that PS2 is much more popular than Xbox, but from my experience around here, Xbox is where it's at and the console that people (aged 16 to 28+) trust. PS3 is like "too expensive" and those informed would rather get a Wii.

Don't get me wrong, there'll still be a huge line just cause of ppl wanting to make profits, but not as many as in Japan ROFLMAO.

look whos talking... Mr. denial , The xbox360 have been powned in japan.. period. !! ;)

This is for you...

Denial is a defense mechanism in which a person is faced with a fact that is too painful to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence. The subject may deny the reality of the unpleasant fact altogether (simple denial), admit the fact but deny its seriousness (minimisation) or admit both the fact and seriousness but deny responsibility (transference). The concept of denial is particularly important to the study of addiction.

So you are saying American made products aren't made to high standards? Whatever.

The Wii is going to be like an atomic bomb when it hits Japan. I predict that it will sell 4x as many consoles on launch as the PS3 for one simple reason: the Wii will launch with 4x as many consoles as the PS3. It's gonna pwn Japan.
