Im about to pick up an 8800GTX that I have waiting for me at a local shop but am just wondering if 2 x 8800GTS's would be better?

I have a Coolermaster 600Watt PSU which handles my current 7950GX2 just fine...

The question is..would I see better performance from 2 GTS's or form 1 x GTX? Im not interested in E-PenisMark01/2/3/4/5/6 scores...just gaming performance in BF2142 / BF2 / GTR2 etc etc

1 x GTX or 2 X GTS's..That is the question!

Well, you'll probably be good with 2 GTS since it'd be slightly more than single GTX and easy on power supply and you get a bit of more performance than single GTX. I could be wrong but that sorta makes sense to me.

It's a hard question man. On your rig I'm sure 2-GTS's would out perform a single GTX but a single GTX is honestly all your going to need for the next 3 months. I mean the power of a single GTX is amazing. Even on my X2 rig the power is insane. If I were you I would go with a single GTX now and second later. But if you want lots of power now or SLI GTS but don't forget there are some headaches that come with SLI. I would do a single GTX for now... wait I did.

Yeah, I think your right....single GTX now..and another one in about 2 weeks time.

BRING ON THE POWER!!!!

(and the bigger power supply to handle it....lol)

Yeah i would get the single GTX as if you want the power you will have to wait for the SLi profiles so not ideal if you want to wait till you play the latest games.

That's my plan! I want to get a GTX now, and add the second one in next summer when UT07 comes out. I *Might* need a new PSU, and I know I will definetly need at least a new board.

I haven't heard anything about my PSU and compatibility, but I would imagine if you split the power across the 3 rails, it should handle the cards just fine. (that's 54 Amps)

ALso GTS OVERCLOCK better then GTX. So 2x GTS is your BEST BET :)

Right now i have 2x GTX in my system and I dunno how to utilize them, there is no such game. So these Extra power is going waste for next couple of months ;l

my OVERCLOCKED GTS gives me slight better scores in 3DMARK 06 then GTX. But with extra cash I had, i bought 2x GTX.
