I am gonna be selling some parts of my old rig to a friend and installing them for him...

- AMD Athlon 3200+ Socket 939
- Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard
- BFG 6600GT OC Pci-Express
- 2 x 1 gb Kingston PC3200 Value Ram

I don't wanna set him up w/ the stock cooler, since its pretty crappy... I plan on overclocking it for him, so I am looking the best socket 939 CPU cooler... for around ~ $30

Any recommendations???

My big typhoon is pretty awesome, its around $40 I think, and a lot of zalman copper hs's are great too. If it has to be quiet, go for Zalman, If you want the best overclock, get the Big typhoon, or something with similar size and mass, including heat pipes and copper base/fins. I think $40 would get you much better than $30, just my thoughts. No-one else has any Ideas apparantly.

I second that.
The Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 at only $30.00 USD has the best performance/value ratio.
The much more expensive Zalman CNPS 9500 didn't compare to well at this CPU Heatsink Roundup (http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&number=11&artpage=1823&articID=419) because of the noise level at full speed.

The Freezer 7 Pro is the same as the 64 Pro, but for Intel socket 775.
