anything less that a perfect review is an insult in my opinion. I expect perfect scores across the board.

woulda been far better on pc, instead the graphics are pretty lackluster. on pc we could have experienced anti aliasing, high resolution, and those things..what are they called? oh yeah. shaders!

Zelda controlled with a mouse and keyboard? I'd rather slit my wrists.

Zelda at 30 fps at 640x480 with no anti aliasing? I'd rather slit my wrists.

Thanks for stating the obvious. That doesn't really add much to the thread though.

Moving on the more vids I watch, the more I actually want to play the game. Reminds me of all the good times I had playing Ocarina of Time.:)

there's nothing wrong with 30fps for a console, you dont sit right in front of your tv.

And there's also a different experience to be had with consoles...

"Different strokes for different blokes" is what I saw in some other thread, and I think FCGD needs to realize that such a concept exists.

Anywho, I do really love the Zelda games, but I don't have enough money with my other purchases :) Should be an awesome game

A well written review, but I absolutly hate the way he scored it. Basically, he said that Twilight Princess was the best Zelda game ever made and dwarfs OOT in music, story, gameplay, graphics, and anything else I forgot to mention, YET he refuses to give it a 10. This guy is an elitist, and can't recognize a special game when he sees it.

If you end up liking it, what the hell does it matter? :)

I agree with what you said there, but then I saw what he rated A Link to the Past and OOT.

http://www.thehylia.com/alttp_review.shtml 9.1

http://www.thehylia.com/oot_review.shtml 9.3

TP still his highest rated, even if its not a 10, he rates pretty harshly.

'nother one.

I would be a prick like some people on the net and start to compare Zelda vs GoW . . . come on, give me a break.

If I were to buy a Wii, I'd definitly buy Zelda. It's prolly the biggest launch title that I know of.

Uhh, no, he scored it objectively because it has a few flaws and could have been better, even if it's better than previous Zelda games. Giving TP a 10 because it's superior to previous Zelda games would be like giving Doom 3 a 10 because it's superior to previous Doom games.

a perfect score doesn't mean the game is 100% perfect. No game can achieve that. If it did, then we would stop making games and just play the perfect game over an over again, because the perfect game would never get boring.

a 10/10 signifies that this is a special game. A game that comes around once every 5 years. A magical game that is simply a work of art, and a game that everyone should play - period. From what he said in the review, Zelda TP is that game. It should have gotten a 10.. BUT NO, he was a prick and had the following complaints:

-Zelda's graphics aren't as good as GoW. What an idiotic statement. No ****, the Wii isn't as powerful as the 360. You don't judge a game's graphics by the screen resolution or the texture size, you judge it based on whether it's visual elements pull you into the game world or not - and from everyone who's reviewed it (including this TSA review) - it does. That is like saying Picasso is a ****ty artist because he painted his pictures in "low resolution" lol.

-He doesn't like the aiming the bow with the Wii mote and the camera control is lacking. Anyone who's watched the videos know the camera control is perfect, and how freaking difficult is it to point a Wii mote at the screen to shoot a bow? I mean that's as simple as it gets folks, if you can't do that you need to be riding the short bus into school.

Anyway, this isn't from a major review site so I'm not worried about it. I've read some stuff by TSA in various Zelda forums, and tbh it doesn't surprise me that he'd give it a pompous score like this.

here is his quotes at the end

To be blunt, if the game was strictly for GCN or for Wii, and was only developed solely for one or the other, I could see this being a perfect title. It's damn close, but it is not perfect, but it is the best Zelda title ever. Expect a solid 60-70 hour adventure for those trying to get through it without doing everything, probably 80-100 hours if you want to complete the entire game with all secrets uncovered. The game is also incredibly fun and exciting, and I see fans and consumers alike wanting to play the game over and over, which is what Ocarina of Time delivered to the world eight years ago.

please

this game deserves a 10 across the board

Nintendo FTW. When I heard news a long time ago at E3 that the old games would be downloadable I cried tears of joy that night in my bed. Serious.

Can't wait to own a Wii.:D
