6.8 on Gamespot... Game looked interesting but I would have rather it been Excite Bike...

Seems like the biggest pro is the control and speed, what I don't understand is the complete lack of anything above 2 player support... not even 4 player...

Looks like the game would have really been nice to have online support, could see a nice crazy race if you could play with 6+ friends at once.

I would've rather have ExciteBike as well . . . too bad the first Wii game reviewed there got a low score.

Im thinking of picking up a Wii just for Zelda... I don't think I could wait another month for the GC version... I will just disable the "Wii Controls" and play it normally.

Ditto on both counts

Can't disable wii controls. If you want to play it like you're using a GC controller (though I don't know why you would - every preview/review has said the game plays far better on wii controls) then you're going to have to wait for the GC version.

I played the demo for this at EB the other day. Took me a couple tries to get the hang of the Wiimote but it was pretty good. I don't think I'd buy this game though.

From what I have read you can use the buttons and control functions to actually play and not the "Wii Functions" which make no difference and remove the useless learning curve of the game.

Let me spell it out for you guys.

Z-E-L-D-A -> that is the main reason you should buy the Wii right now. That game is the granddaddy of all games, the hardcore of all hardcore, the monster of all monsters, the pinnacle of interactive entertainment, etc. Who gives a crap about "exite truck" or "rabbit invasion." Zelda is 70 hours of game play BARE MINIMUM, and around several hundred to explore all the nooks and crannies. This game will last you well into the holiday season, then games like Mario Galexy and Battalion Wars will come out.

You honestily believe that Zelda is a bare min of 70 hours?

No zelda has ever been even half that lenght. I can beat OOT in a single sitting, Zeldas are not long games aslong as your not a complete idiot.

I can easily see the playtime rising to the 60-hour mark if you try to accomplish everything that the game has to offer

So by his claim (he is someone who actually played the game, not a rabid fanboy like you) the only way to hit your number is to do everything the game has to offer and then wander around abit...

If you want gaurenteed 70 hours, go play Dragon Quest 8... Its said to be 100+ hours if you want to accomplish everything.

I reckon if you just plugged in your Gamecube controller, you might be able to use that instead of the Wiimote: http://www.i4u.com/article7008.html

A few things.

This is the longest Zelda ever made. This has been confirmed by multiple sources.

I asked how long it took Nintendo's testers to complete the entire game the first time through. The answer is a whopping 70-plus hours.

This is from Nintendo's internal testers. These are not some weeny beeny casual gamers, these are hardcore professionals who's job is to get through the game as fast as possible. It took them 70 hours.
