Okay, gotta admit, I know little about this so be kind.
Basicly I was wondering if I could display a HD TV signal (from comcast box) onto the monitor. Would it be better to use a seperate input or run it through the PC? Which card would you suggest? If I use a seperate input directly to the monitor, how do I get sound? (I have an X-Fi XM and 5300-e speakers)
hmm, i dont think so. the 2005 only has DVI inputs. however, if you can covert the component (the blue, red, and green composite type cables) to DVI then i would guess you could do it. however i need someone else to confirm it cause im not sure. also, it would have to be 720 HDTV. the 2005 doesnt have the resolution required for 1080.
the 2407fpw from dell does have the Component inputs that are the standard output from an HDTV box.
thats why i want a 2407fpw. its widescreen and it has the component in so i can hook it up for 1080i HDTV :D

Damnit!!! Your right about the inputs.
Okay, how about a TV card that can intake a HD signal then output it into a useable HD for the 2007??

Does your Comacst HD box have an HDMI output? If so you could just get a HDMI/DVI cable and use that to connect them.

Not sure about the HD box as I do not have none yet.
But even if it did, there is only 1 DVI input on the 2005 and its being used by the 8800GTX.
