Just got my evga today but when i overclock it and reboot it just totally locks up my system and i cant do anything.

ive tried both ati tool and powerstrip and had the same results.

any ideas?

What about ntune? Have you tried it?

in ntune it wouldnt save the overclock.

I think you have to save a profile for it to save your overclocks. Try the instructions in this thread:

Firstly,how high are you trying to run the cards clocks?

Using 97.02 with NVTray, double click NVtray and select old. Overclocks stick in the NV CP :D

thanks that worked a treat,currently got it clocked at 605 / 1700.

nVTray? Is that just the driver's icon in the system tray?
