I know, but I thought they would try and release Vista beta drivers, there was one a while back when I got my 7900 GTX's

It SUCKS that there are no 8800GTS/GTX drivers out for vista.

NVIDIA needs to produce decent 8800 drivers for XP (that aren't bug-riddled and semi-functional) before they make 'em for Vista.

RTM is out, but it doesn't matter because you can't buy it. the only ways you can get it is if you subscribe to MSDN or if your a system builder. those ATI drivers are beta anyhow. I find it funny that you all are complaining and that you want to run a slower OS than xp.

Sigh...All I want is a fully functional driver for RC2. That's all I ask. And have you tried Vista? Because it is faster on my computer than XP is. Well, it feels "snappier" and more responsive in general.

QFT. I'd REALLY like to play a game I'm beta testing atm, but I can't beacuse it's unplayable! Come Nvidia :)

I'm trying to stay optmistic by believing that NVIDIA doesn't quite have a grasp on the 8800 architecture yet and with subsequent driver releases we'll see performance gains like we did with the Detonators/TNTs. Since the 8800s already are smoking when they do work, NVIDIA can be forgiven for now.

Though it'd be a nice Christmas present if they fixed the control panel functions by the end of the year.

I would rather wait to get a decent driver than have one right away that does not work well. Hopefully they will release a 64 version soon after so that I can redeem my coupon for Vista 64bit.

ok ok, to finally get the message clear.

Forceware X (plenty of time to rename) will be released between December 18th, and possibly January 10th,.. these dates are subject to change depending on how fast it takes them to redesign the Sedona Control panel.
