While installing the back plate for my zalman 9500 i accidently snapped one of the 2 capacitor (value "C15D4") on the back of the motherboard (yea i know i should've been more careful). Is it safe to resolder it back on the motherboard or should i send the board back to evga for repair ?

I would return the board, but first cut out the Zalman's back plate so to clear the two capacitors. You can practice on this board...

If you're good with a soldering iron, it wouldn't be too difficult to get it back on. But you may be voiding your warranty by doing so. So if you're not 100% certain that you can fix it, I would RMA the sucker.
