Hi all--
I installed a GeForce 6600 and now no program can capture DV nor can I play any videos. My son can play his games, like Civilization IV, but these other issues are still unresolved. I'm running XP2, Athlon 64 processer 3700+, 2.45 GHz, 1.00GB RAM, power supply is 430 watts. I have two internal hard drives and one external which doesn't draw it's power from the computer. I have downloaded the latest drivers from NVidia. Any help you all could extend would be so appreciated. I'm trying to transfer old VHS tapes of my sons's younger years over to DVD's.
Thanks so much
TW

First of all, does your 6600 support VIVO (video-in/video-out)? If not then you're not going to be able to capture any video from your external source. If it does have VIVO, did you uninstall your previous video drivers before putting in the 6600? Download and install Driver Cleaner (Google it) and follow the program instructions. It will sweep your hard drive and registry for old files. Then reinstall the 6600 as well as NVIDIA's WDM drivers, which are necessary to utilize your card's video-in functionality.
