- Creative INSPIRE T6060 5.1 Speaker System

and is their any reason/real benefits to buy a 7.1 system? the only one I can squeeze in my budget is:

- Creative INSPIRE T7900 7.1 Speaker System

Logitech or the Inspire 6060. I like the seperate mids and highs of the 6060 which may help with clarity and imaging given the lower wattage.

What sound card?

Rated specs on systems like these are usually useless. The 10% THD on the X-530 means the total wattage ouput is an inflated figure.

Sometimes, I even recommend to friends to buy a better set of 2.1 speakers instead of a cheaper surround system. They will often be "easier" to listen to...

now im using the onboard (see motherboard in specs), but maybe ill buy a xfi xtrememusic.

Im starting to think maybe investing in a good 2.1 system instead of a decent 5.1 system, beacuse the logitech x530 5.1 is only 70watts while the logitech z2300 2.1 is 200watts (!), thats a HUGE difference and the z2300 only has 2 speakers.

what do you say? do I need a 200watts speaker system? I have a small room so...
