Hey check this out. The memory screams at 1142MHz and can be pushed to 1200MHz when overclocked.

Anyway I bought these modules last night and they will be here on Wednesday.:D

The TWIN2X2048-9136C5D DOMINATOR is designed to unleash performance of the new NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI-based platform. Built using RAMs that pass Corsair’s aggressive speed screening process, the new DDR2-9136 DOMINATOR is the world’s only production-ready memory rated at 1142MHz. In performance benchmark testing at third-party review sites, many of these modules have been reported delivering up to 1200MHz of performance when overclocked. The new TWIN2X2048-9136C5D feature Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP) technology, allowing PC enthusiasts simplified overclocking success and access to more advanced memory specifications. The TWIN2X2048-9136C5D DOMINATOR is certified by NVIDIA as SLI-Ready Memory, joining the NVIDIA SLI technology ecosystem to provide a building foundation for an ultimate performance PC.

You can find the memory here:

I have the Corsair Dominator DDR2 850 1066 running in my Rig. It's very impressive memory and looks so fine :D

I dont understand why need so fast memory, isn't 800MHz fast enough, and there will no seen benefit from higher number?

If this is true, then would'nt you like to settle on a 800MHz modules with about half the price, and in the future upgrade to DDR3 which is soon to come?

I wonder, that cooling this memory has, is it needed because of the so high MHz?

Really nice memory. But C5, well.... :)
I still prefer my G.Skill.

jAkUp and I were debating that the other night, because having great timings is wonderful and all, but we decide the sheer speed would make up for it's timing short comings.:D

Yeah most likely... the clocks are insane.
Mine does 800 at CL3 and around 1000 at CL4, I really like the flexibility of that memory.

I wonder if I lower the clocks I could tighten the timings. Like CL4 @ 1066. I will be able to tell you for sure on Wednesday.:D

Very nice price there. I am sure cheaper modules can do pratically the same thing.

Show me other modules that are standard at 1142MHz come with EPP and the a sweet cooler and I will buy them instead.:p

:maxshoot:

O wait....there isn't any other memory available on the market yet besides these modules that are guaranteed at 1142MHz. OCZ will be coming out with some sweet 1200MHz sticks soon, but I actually happen to like the Corsair Dominator series a lot.

Perhaps you may be able to run these at 1T command rate with tight timings at a lower frequency. Let us know how it goes:)

I think there is a really good chance of that.:D

I think 1T might be asking too much, but hey, worth a shot :)

You never know. Someone has reported 900mhz at 1T on a 680i based motherboard on another forum. So it may be attainable:)

Yes it is easily, i can run my Dominators at 1T DDR2 900 without breaking a sweat.:D

Ugh.. $459? Thats a hefty premium for what, 5% gaming improvement over $200ish 2 gig kits?

But I envy the folks that have em ;)

Very nice, Muppet. Would you be willing to share your BIOS settings for the memory? Thanks!
