Hello everyone, I just registered here because this forum looks like a knowledgeable place.

I am going to be buying a new PC soon, and I have spent a long time deciding what graphics card to get. I have decided on an 8800GTX.

I was originally thinking about the Asus brand, but today I found an Inno3d 8800GTX at an amazing price. Unfortunately, I know very little about Inno3d, so thats why I am here.

I know all the 8800 boards are made in the same factory, and all have the same clock/memory speeds. But each brand get to put on their own fan etc. Anyway, the Inno3d card is amazingly chaep. I have scoured the internet for the last 5 hours reading all about them, and they seem to be ok. But unfortunately I can only find people talking about previous generations of cards. There is very little about the Inno3d 8800GTX. So I am hoping people here may be able to help me out. I really want to buy it because the price is great. But I need to know that its not going to burn out, or run far too hot from poor cooling, or to be extra noisy etc... If so, I would rather just spend extra on a different brand.

I read somewhere that they only have a 1 year warranty unlike other brands which offer 2 years. But then I read that all the Inno3d 7 series cards now have a 2 year warranty. So I would also be interested to know if that was extended to the 8 series too.

Anyway, if anyone has any experience of Inno3d and/or owns an Inno3d 8800GTX, please tell me all about it!

I asked our sales rep. about the warranty on Inno3D's 8800GTX. I'll let you know when she answers. :)

I've used a number of Inno3D cards (including the 7900 GS I currently have in my system) and they've all been spectacular. They're a fantastic company and I highly recommend you consider them heavily in your decision-making process. :D

Inno3D is made in same factory as Asus, so they throw different stick on cooler :) looks like though second batch of GTXs clocks little higher then first pieces, at least what i found, first three GTXs what i tested (POV, Asus and another Asus) only hit btw. 610-625Mhz, while cards which was sent week later (Asus, Leadtek, MSI) hits 655-660Mhz.

Can you elaborate on that? I have an Asus, the place I bought it received it the 16th directly from Asus. They shipped my order the same day and they even sent it in the boxe they received the shippement from Asus, I have the Asus Item number sticker saying Quantity 5 PCS and listing the 5 serial numbers net weight etc hehe.
Too bad they didn't forget to remove the other 4 cards from the box =(

Riva Tuner report the following:
$0100000000 Graphics core : NV50/G80 revision A2
$0100000001 Hardwired ID : 0195 (ROM strapped to 0191)
$0100000002 Memory bus : 384-bit
$0100000003 Memory type : DDR3 (RAM configuration 00)
$0100000004 Memory amount : 786432KB

Does the card that only reach 620Mhz are labeled Revision A1 and the faster ones A2?

I have yet to overclock mine because I have no reason to, only using a little Opteron 165 in 1600x1200. Maybe later when I switch to a MacPro Dual Quad-Core Xeon heheh.

WOW! Thank you all so much for the help! Especially the news about the warranty! That is all really good news for me. The price of the Inno3d 8800GTX is pretty good, and significantly cheaper than all the other brands, so I think I'm going to be buying that in the next week or so. That news about the second breed being clocked slightly higher is interesting too. Hopefully the one I get will be the second type.

I really appreciate that everyone, very kind of you all.

Thanks again :)
