Can anyone subscribe to technet or do you have to be in the tech industry?
It's specifically for "IT Professionals," but you don't have to provide any proof of what you do. They don't even ask.
btw, on the Bizrate link I provided previously, most of those prices are for renewals, not the initial purchase.

Thanks, This does seem like a good deal especially if you have multiple computers that you are going to put vista and office 2007 onto.
If i sign up at the microsoft site for $349 do you then just get access to download all their software that you can burn onto a disk?

You gain access, but it's not immediate. Takes a few days.
