Legal versions of Vista and Office 2007

Seeing the "free copies of Vista" thread gave me an idea. I have the ability to get Legal versions of any of the vistas or office 2007's through my work. If any of you guys are interested, hit me up in PM's or at paul_zimmerman@compusa.com.

I am able to get free or close to free copies for myself here and there through retail incentives. But I can only get like e.g. one or two of them a year.

i can get as many as i want:) its nice. Compusa scored some exclusive deal where you can buy them from us before the january release

I read somewhere that one of the big retailers would be selling Vista before January, but I don't think that it's retail. I'm sure it's the same version, but I don't think it comes in the box etc.

It could be the same thing I am getting. Intel is sending me a copy of vista ultimate, but I am pretty sure that it is just going to be the CD by itself and a license key. E.g. no box or anything, but the CD itself contains the retail license as opposed to the OEM or upgrade license. They sent me xp pro SP2 retail this way.

The OEM license forbids you from moving it from one computer to another once you've registered it. The upgrade license inherits whatever the license was for what you upgraded from, and does not permit a fresh install unless you provide a key for a previous windows on top of your existing license key.

I'm sure Enterprise version will be quite expensive (meaning well more than Ultimate), even with employee discounts.

When it goes retail I'll buy an ultimate key and put it into the final rtm build that I'm running now. I can't imagine that it won't work. They are the same version.

im here. ugh. im really sorry guys. working with my supplier, we can only buy lisncenes in 5 or more quantities. i like how they didnt tell me that till a week and a half later. buncha jerks. so i tried to get them to let me buy 5 of them for myself and resell themn back to you guys; but they say i cant since im not a busniess. its stupid, and it makes them miss out on a lot of buyers. buncha jerk-faces.
