So while investigating earlier NV drivers seem to have issues with DDI threading on Vista, especially dual core Systems, (Errors have been introduced since 95.64 version of the drivers). A possuble fix is to disable DDI threading this increases WOW frames tremendously.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Direct3D]
"DisableThreadedDDI"=dword:00000001

Try this in Vista, and let me know if this ups performance.

This is for Dual core systems!

Requires restart.

You said "especially for dual core", does this mean everyone should try it still? It'll just benefit the dual-core people more?
