Why would you switch from XP to 98, did drugs play any role in it?

Maybe when you installed your drivers the Default monitor was never deleted???
Not sure..
Delete them both and reinstall your mon drivers..no biggie..
I think i already did everything, if i remove the default, windows will find it again when i boot, i did even try to remove the "search for plug n play monitors" option in the monitor\display options.

This is normal - on my laptop it shows I have multiple monitors even though I'm only viewing things from its LCD screen. On my desktop, my Radeon shows two displays even though I'm only running one.
This will not cause problems and you shouldn't worry about it.
When I had my Geforce 3, I only had one monitor in device manager. Now I have upgraded to a Geforce 4, I have several "Default Monitors". But as I have had extra monitors/tv connected I know that one monitor is my primary monitor, another is the second monitor connector which shows as "Default Monitor" when nothing is connected. The third is the TV Out. I believe the Geforce 2 mx also supports 2 monitors.

Win98SE sometimes has driver artifacts where phantom devices are detected, usually after the settings have changed or a new device has been installed without proper housekeeping of the system files. Most of those artifacts are harmless, but it never hurts to disable them in the device manager(usually removing them results in them being redetected).
