It used to be that we got all sorts of new games for Christmas but this year everything seems to be pushed back until next year. We got all the new consoles this year but I've always kinda looked forward to the myrid of new PC games that came out this time of year. Do you think PC gaming is just a lower priority these days, or do you think it was specific to this year?

Chrismas this year kinda sucked for PCGaming. Well, at least we get Rainbow Six in a few weeks :)

Off topic, but I notice you have a PC Power and cooling 1KW and you have the same case as me. Does it fit nice or is it hard to route wires, etc?

Cool, but is the new Rainbow Six going to be like the previous ones, or the latest one? Raven Shield was a great game, but Lockdown took everything tactical about the series and threw it out the window.

Isn't Crysis a Vista title?

Erm..i thought it was already DX10 ready with DX10 Emulation for DX9 PCs..

And i think this is one of those "Games for Windows" things as well.

One of the DX10 thing was the smoke effected by the wind or something like that ?

Ontop of DX10 they said its 64bit ready as well along with Vista and Dual Core

Yah I agree with ya man, not the best Christmas for PC Gamers. But I will jsut get some games that came out earlier this year and last year to make up for it. Hell, I will probably get more games that way. They are cheaper now heh!

What's the problem with games not being rushed out of the door to meet the xmas deadline ?

I'd rather wait some more instead of having frustrating experiences with a buggy game.

Well, there isn't much comming out before Christmas- but next year should prove to make up for it.

Here's a few titles I'm looking forward to:

(^^^ Graphics suck, but it looks as if the environmets will be large and almost fully interactive and destructable/modifiable).

(no screenies, but it sounds interesting).

That is all just within the first halve of next year. :p But, still, this Christmas will be a bummer game wise. For the past 7 years that is all I ever ask for- games. This year, I might just deviate from that pattern and go for an MP3 player or such. :p

That's a good idea in theory, but most games come out requiring patches whenever they're released. Some people release better games than others but they're never bug-free.
Deadlines are a requirement, and I figure Christmas is as good a time as any.

Next year is going to be great for PC gamers. Crysis, Quake wars, UT2007, stalker, Command and conquer 3, Assasins creed. Medal of Honor: Airborne Bioshock and many more I cant remeber. Its looking really good. PC gaming dead? You must be having a laugh (nana2)
