Hi,

I have recently ordered a BFG 8800 GTX that should arrive on monday :D , the prob comes from the fact upon checking carefully my actual case, http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k119/litri/matrixvx.jpg
i have discovered that the card won't fit in there (not even able to plug it, because of the length) as the bay for the hard drives is making it impossible, :( , pitty since this case is light as a feather.

I was wondering about which case to get, and the thing is that i don't really want to go for a full tower, however i'll be doing SLI for sure next year and a big case will help with better airflow, uh?.

So if you guys could give me some clues, i'm living in Germany and i have put myself a limit in around 160 eur (around 215 dollars). I have always used Thermaltake cause i like the brand but i would not mind changing for once.

What do you think about this one??

Greetz.

That case is definetly a beast! I think there are a few ppl around here that have it. I really like design of that one, it has a ton of airflow, room, and many places to add drives. The only thing I'm not sure that I like or not about that case is the two things on the front that go over the drive bays. I'm sure you could probably take those off if you wanted.

Sorry to hijack this thread but does anyone think the P180B would allow for 8800GTX in SLI and a PCP&C 1kW PSU? I was going to added the two optional case fans, including the one in the air duct near the video cards.

mm, I'm not sure if the powersupply will fit. But i can't confirm that. Maybe someone who has one can measure to see how long the space is? Because the PCP&C 1KW is pretty long.

It will fit if you remove the bottum divider. Theres no need for the thing anyways.

I have to agree ,this (http://store.nvidia.com/servlet/ControllerServlet?Action=DisplayPage&Env=BASE&Locale=en_US&SiteID=nvidia&id=ProductDetailsPage&productID=58708300) one available from Nvidia's SLIzone looks great but I went with the all black one ,no side window ,no disco lights ,just lots of room and great airflow.

How about an antec nine hundred case or a coolermaster stacker nvidia edition? :)

the T.T Armor is phenominal

Fits the 8800 series perfectly, tons of airflow, so your temps will be good, and if yours doesnt come with the panel with fan built in, you can purchase a new side panel w/fan for under 30.00 bux.The side panel w/fan works very well.

totaly recomend the armor

It would be the perfect case if it had a slide out mobo tray, but ill trade that feature for the temperatues and features of this case, and quality of this cases build.

No i dont work for T.T

I saw a bunch of Stackers at GF3 running 8800GTX in SLi and there was still a ton of room for cabling, drives, etc. It's a nice roomy case.

P180 is good as long as you don't mount more hard drives in the upper drive bay. If you have drives there, you won't be able to get a 2nd 8800 in there.

Nine Hundred is good with lots of airflow but you need to limit yourself to only a couple hard drives if you're going SLi since the HD cage is close to the mobo edge. See this post (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=1068246&postcount=52) for pics on how my Nine Hundred looks...

Heck, look at that whole thread (http://nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=79893) for possible case ideas with pics.

The Stacker RC-830 is an amzinf case quite heavy mind but you have about 3 inches clearince from the GTX which means you can have even bigger cards fitted in the future.

A vote for the Lian-Li PC-767 Plus here. Amazing case, huge, and extremely stilish. You can see a couple of shots of the inside with an Asus NCCH-DL fitted here : http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=1007664&postcount=84
