Its not like that was never expected heh ..
Set in the deceptively idyllic town of Bright Falls, Washington, Alan Wake places gamers in the role of the best-selling suspense author, Alan Wake. He escapes to this small town to recover from the mysterious disappearance of his fiancىe. In Bright Falls Wake comes face to face with his darkest nightmares. While there never really was an official release date, OXM seems to think it has been delayed until 2008.

Graphics are too leet to be released in 2007. To really get the game to look like the screenshots it probably needs another year and a half. Games require lots of man-hours to get complete.

The list of AAA games on pc for 2007 is getting even smaller.

This really sucks.

I think game developers know something we not know, maybe vista is not good as it sounds? Or are they gearing for new set of Intel & AMD chipsets? Or NVIDIA is coming up with a whole brand new architecture built in physics core?

i like to daydream sometimes :D

Sounds like devs are discovering the difficulty of integrating all of these new features into gigantic non-linear environments. It's disappointing, but I'm not surprised that very ambitious projects like this are going to take longer than they anticipated.

Wow, yet another delay on a pc video game....I think they should either a) finish games on time or b) not give us a release date until they have finished the game. Because this is getting ridiculous.

I kind of expected this. When I heard them say that the game is meant for Quad core CPUs and that a dual core will is the minimum requirement, I knew they werent shooting for a release date in the near future.
