Dang the board has space for X-Fi even with three 2 slot video cards!

Interesting layout. Not as much room inbetween the cards though with the DFI board. You use the first and middle slot for SLI.

Good news is that 2 PCI slots are available.

Sadly you would not be able to fit a 2 slot video card in that last PCIe slot. I tried with my PhysX in the last PCI slot on my previous motherboard. It doesn't really fit.

That's true the way my case is the card would sit on top of my PSU and that can't be good.:D

TiKiMaN says:
i wonder how well it will overclock
Jeffrey says:
I bet it will OC like a Mutha
TiKiMaN says:

Jeffrey says:
yeah, there are no puny little pcie x1 or x2 slots here
TiKiMaN says:
it looks like a great board
Jeffrey says:
Plus I bet that the #1 and #2 PCIE slots are the primary slots for SLI leaving the last PCIE #3 Slot for using as the Physics/Graphics Card
TiKiMaN says:
I'll bet you are right
TiKiMaN says:
well fetch!

2 minor flaws on the layout that I hope DFI can correct:
#1: the inductor coil near the the MCP heatsink fan is wayyy to close to the ram slot. I'm not sure if u can if open the slider to put the ram in.

#2: The silver (aluminum) heatsink near the 4X PCI-E slot, it might interfere with the double slot cooler of some graphic card I'm afraid. But if it doesn't that's supeeerb. Still it might interfere with wahtever long PCI-E card u put in that 4X slot.

Board layout is very refreshing. 0 heatpipes hahaha.. well I don't really care as long as it cools well and the fans are decently quiet. Besides, it's perfect for ppl with inverted case too. And the space around the 680i chipset, look at how much space is available! I'm pretty sure u can fit an old socket 370HSF in there if u want to.

Wonder which codec is used on the audio module, hope it's Analog device one. And hope there's an option to put something else at that place as well for ppl who has discrete soundcard.

I hope the prices will be refreshing as well, i read somewhere that RD600 was supposed to be $220, but idk if it will actually sell for that. Either way, it looks like one of these mobos will grace my next pc. I absolutely love my Lanparty UT nF4-SLI DR Expert. Pure overclocking, none of the extra crap :)

Thanks for the link.

We'll see what's up for real soon I am sure. A fellow over @ XS has the DFI RD600 board in his possession and is privately testing it to soon release results.

I am looking forward to those results with great anticipation. If it's anything like the DFI LP SLI-DR Expert, then this will be a big winner.
