I cut the plywood 14" tall so it only blocks the lowest portion of the window, i had to really think this through cos my girl woulda killed me if she came home to a plywood window :o
Thanks though man, im stoked with the results, now as soon as i get my hands on a core 2 and another GTX then we'll really see what i can do:D

Don't you worry about condensation building up inside the tower? I would think as cold as the air is coming in and hitting those warm components, that during snow/rain you could get some moisture build-up. Am I wrong on that? Good idea though.

What's the specs of your rig?

EDIT: Are there fans in the plywood or only on the side panel? Are both tubes intake or outflow or one of each?

simply build another tube connected to a dehumidifier, should take care of that problem

Nice but it not really worth it imo, if condensation isn’t enough for you then the cost of running an air conditioner/dehumidifier throughout the year will.

We run a dehumidifier in the summer already along with the AC so its no different and i have a little trick to soak up moisture in the case, salt crystals in little burlap bags, absorbs it like a sponge.

LOL I've always kept a little bag of those, I got out of something that was shipped to me, in my case. I've always wondered if anyone else does that and been meaning to ask on here. Awesome! :D

Nice williv! We think alike. I hooked up mine to an air conditoner in the summer. I haven't done anything since winter hit though so no more low temps for me. I should work on something like yours...
