Was looking on www.driverheaven.net and came accross these KX Project drivers for SBLive! sound cards and other ones using same chipset.
Anyone use this driver? Is it anygood, does it increase preformance?
Kind Regards

Yes, I get a large performance increase from Creative's latest as well as a SQ increase.

U should only use the KX if ur primary use will be recording or listenining to music as they add features creatives dont have. But i ur a gamer stay away from them, creatives latest .3xx series give a healthy performance/sq boost to the audigy series primarily, not sure about the Live!'s.

I have a Live, I am not sure about Creative's latest drivers that came out a day or so ago. :/

These drivers seriously increased the quality of my Audigy. They make the old drivers sound like tin cans. You should try these and see what you've been missing.

If you're interested in finding out exactly what your SBlive or Audigy is capable of then you should give the alternative drivers over at www.kxproject.com a go.
The creative drivers only brush the surface of what the EMU10K-1\2 chips are capable of. These alternatives give you access to the programmble DSP, 64!bit effects, AC3 decoding (software I think) and lots of other groovy things.
Ok I'll give them a try, I'll be playing some GR coop tonight with my mate, so thats a good test for drivers ;) Hoping to god, that my Audigy2 arrives tomorrow, damn the post in France is slow...
**Update**
I will be uninstalling these drivers asap, to quote from the help file
Front and Rear speakers are swapped by default (this is intentional) - explanation why here.
-EAX/EAX2.0/EAX3.0 not fully supported.
-No DirectSound3D support (2D emulation only).
-MIDI synth volume control may not function in realtime.
-If you have ACPI-aware system you may need to disable it. Refer to ACPI guide for details.
My pc is used mainly for gaming!!
