I'm running a Quadro FX 4500 X2 along with both a 30" Apple display (2560x1600) and a second large-format (1920x1080) under RedHat 4. I am not running nview or xinerama - these are two completely seperate X displays on seperate GPUs. I can't seem to get workstation overlays to work on either.
The README file suggests that overlays will not work on displays "larger than 2046x2047", but does not specify a definition of the word "larger". In other words, 2560x1600=4096000 pixels, which is less than 2046x2047=4188162, but obviously 2560 is greater than 2046.
What I'm really getting at here is this: Can I run workstation apps on my 30" display, or do I have to unplug it every time I want to fire up Maya or XSI?
Many Thanks,
