From what i've read here (http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTIzNCwxLCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==), the Striker isnt as good as the EVGA, it comes up short on the FSB. If you are gonna get one, i recommend looking somewhere other then newegg, $409 is one of the highest prices on the net.

IMO I see no reason to get it the Evga 680i SLI is just as good if not better in some areas, and besides that it is $150 cheaper, but to each is his own.If you have the money I guess it looks better but I do not think it performs any better.

That was with a pre-release BIOS it is stated that the shipping version is better at overclocking.

Well I heard that too, but I've also heard of a ton of people with the eVGA board who are having SATA/RAID issues with this board. And not to mention the beeping with SLI'd 8800's and the X-Fi issues. And I will be running two 74GB Raptors in Raid 0 and 2 250GB Cavairs in Raid 0 and I'm not taking any chances. Granted the new BIOS fixed SOME of these issues, but not all. Plus who could resist the free copy of GRAW!!! :D

C'mon Tiki, back me up! :D

Enjoy the 409$ mobo. It'll be an ice age in hell when I ever buy a mobo for that price.

Yup, especially when it doesn't really outshine the comp. Complete waste of money unless you're after the shinny heat pipes.

True. If I get a Nforce 6 board it will be the evga or maybe DFI seeing what they come out with.

This board is not worth more then $200. PCI layout is horrible...no place there for Xi-Fi card...ASUS is smoking crack

You have to sandwich the xi-fi between the videocards, and I believe it's the same for the eVGA board.

I have a X-fi between my two 8800 GTX's, works fine for me. No different than the EVGA 680i board.

Yeah, that's pretty much standard these days. Maybe by the time PCI Express is replaced we'll see someone actually use those damn 1X and 4X PCI Express slots.

Labyrinth:

Not trying to diss your purchase by the way. Didn't mean to come off that way at all. It's a sweet ass board, even if I don't think it's worth the money. As long as you're happy with it, that's all that really matters. :p

From defualt voltage the ASUS board is the better overclocker according to this site http://xtreview.com/review160.htm eVGA 412MHz FSB and ASUS Striker 425MHz Vs the Intel board of 460MHz

Most NF680i board have the same layout of PCI/PCI-express slots. Except DFi & ABIT.
These guys say 450MHz easy with under voltage, and 500MHz was very easy to get too but was a problem after that
