Reserves just mean that as soon as its live your download begins (that is if you leave the Download Manager running in the background)... no need to visit the website.

It’s not like it’s a limited affair where only those that reserve it months in advance can get it. They use “reserve” as in getting on a waiting list so that as soon as it’s available, the download manager will get it.

I would not bet on a crysis demo anytime soon.
