Hey Guys, Im an overclocking noob. I understand the basics and read alot about it, but lets say math is not my bag. Was wondering if anyone can give me pointers and advice on how to get my FX-62 over 3.0ghz.
First let me explain what i did so far:
-on my Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe Mobo i just pushed the bus speed to 208, kept the multiplier at 14. so the core speed is 2.91.
-the Corsair DDR2-800 (4-4-4-12) is running at 830 Mhz.
-Everything on the mobo except for the altered bus speed is running at stock (voltages, PCI-E speed, memory timings are all set to auto.)
So with yalls knowledge, i am wondering how to get this thing to run stable at 3.0 or above, given the tight memory times.
I have some slack to work with heatwise on the proc, im using liquid cooling and i usually get a 29-30C idle temp. about 35C under full load. the full specs of my rig are in my signature. Any advice/opinion is appreciated. :) - Chris
