Never again, stock cards from me, unless it's BFG that just overclocks slightly without extra cost...

BFG'S overclocks are useless and pathetic. I dont see the point in a 20mhz overclock to be honest.

I dont see the use in doing this all over again,I forsee allot of problems coming from this anoucemant by XFX.Why pay extra for something that
can be done for free with Ntune,Powerstrip, etc ?

Because, unless you own an eVGA branded card- you void the warranty by oc'ing. If you purchase a factory oc'd card, it is "supposedly" guaranteed to work at those clocks, and it is still covered under warranty (even if you oc it beyond the factory oc). Other than those two reasons, I agree that these factory oc'd cards are pointless. Just buy eVGA, register the card with them, and don't worry about it. :p

Or wait for 8950! Oh wait for 8951 insdead or maybe 2!

If we have to change now, then we get a 8800, end of the line.

If you are happy with what you have, keep it until next generation or maybe the subsequent one or the 3rd one whatever aro go ATI R600 for all I care... But don't annoy us with your current crappy card and your "well in 6 months there's something better anyway" mentality. Because guess what, there's always something better coming up. No **** sherlock.

That pointless but they will sell them for a big price when all you have to do is use ntune and it holds your overclock ,I have mine set at 645/1800 24/7.

BFG'S overclocks are useless and pathetic. I dont see the point in a 20mhz overclock to be honest.

Because:
1. It's free.
2. It's safe.

Mr_LoL
12-17-06, 01:46 AM
Well it is actually 50mhz :P
The 7900 GTX was 20 mhz http://www.bfgtech.com/7900GTX_512_PCIX.html

Mr_LoL

Because:
1. It's free.
2. It's safe.
And it make a helluva lot of difference. If they are going to overclock a card so they can put "OC" on the box, they should do something worthwhile like 50MHZ on the core.

Those are some pretty nice clocks on the GTX.
already in stock

GTX XXX $649.99

GTS XXX $499.99 (Not in stock)

I kinda like the option of haveing a choice for pre-overcloked cards, but to each his/her own.
